Sermons are an integral part of liturgical action and are included in the
„Liturgy of The Word“. The very close relationship between the Word of God
and the Church that takes place in its doctrine, life, and worship becomes the
source of the Church to preserve and carry on, both itself and its full faith
from generation to generation (cf. DV 8). This statement makes the Church
aware of preaching as part of the Church‘s own preaching. Preaching is an
attempt to develop Christian faith and life by explaining the newly read texts
of Scripture.
